Who won yesterday’s IPL match? The last league stage match of IPL 2024 between the Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday was washed out due to rain. The washed out clash at Guwahati’s Bapsara stadium means RR didn’t get a chance to end their 4 match losing streak and get to the second place finish, meaning they will go up next against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the qualifiers stage of the playoff.

Top highlights of last night’s RR vs KKR clash:

Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a top 2 finish in the IPL Points Table by securing a thrilling 4 wicket win against the Punjab Kings on Sunday. Punjab Kings, led from the the front by Atharva Taide and Prabhsimran Singh, managed to set up a total of 214 in their quota of 20 overs.

In reply, SRH lost their first wicket in the opening ball of the match with Travis Head getting knocked out by an outswinging delivery from Arshdeep Singh. But, Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi didn’t let that setback affect the tone of the match as they kept on taking the aggressive route against the PBKS bowlers.

Eventually, a well-settled Rahul Tripathi was dismissed on the last ball of the 5th over, but the damage was done by then with the score already going past the 70-run mark. Some useful knocks by Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen then ended up ensuring that that there were no hiccups in SRH’s run chase.

SRH will next face off against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Playoff 1 of the IPL 2024 season at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Meanwhile, RCB and RR will clash against each other in the second playoff of the season at the same venue on May 22. RCB had secured a playoff berth by convincingly defeated the Chennai Super Kings by 18 runs on Saturday.
