Top highlights of KKR vs SRH final match:

SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. SRH got a jolt in the first over of the match itself with pacer Mitchell Starc dismissing Abhishek Sharma on a score of 2. In the very next over, Vaibhav Arora dismissed Travis Head on a duck, taking SRH’s tally to 6/2 in under 2 overs.

The SRH could never recover from the initial setback and continued to lose wickets, which got them to a stage where even getting past the 100-run mark looked like a difficult task. However, a little counterattack by skipper Pat Cummins down the order helped the orange side reach a total of 113 before being all out in 18.3 overs.

It was dominant bowling effort from KKR with every baller who got a chance to bowl getting a wicket. Andre Russel was the pick of KKR bowlers with 3 wickets to his name while giving away 19 runs. Meanwhile, Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana had 2 scalps a piece to their name while Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine and Vaibhav Arora had 1 wicket each.

In reply, KKR also lost their first wicket early with skipper Pat Cummins dismissing Sunil Narine in the second over of the match. However, the pair of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer stabilized the KKR innings and helped them get past the 100 run mark.

Towards the fag end of KKR innings, the team did lose the wicket of Gurbaz on 39, but skipper Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer made sure there were no hiccups along the way. KKR clinched their 3rd IPL trophy in the 11th over of the match with Venkatesh Iyer hitting a ball from Shahbaz Ahmed for a single.
