Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s faction moved the Bombay High Court against the Maharashtra Speaker’s decision to not disqualify members of Uddhav Thackeray’s faction of the Shiv Sena, Bar and Bench reported. The Shinde faction’s move came after Uddhav Thackeray’s faction approached the Supreme Court over the same case. 

Earlier in the day, the Uddhav Thackeray faction moved the Supreme Court challenging Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar’s order declaring the Sena bloc led by Eknath Shinde as the “real political party” after its split in June 2022.
