Land Rover Range Rover Sport SV is powered by a 635 hp, 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine.

The Range Rover Sport SV Edition 1 is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that has been taken from BMW. It puts out 626 bhp of max power at 6,000 to 7,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 750 Nm at 1,800 to 5,855 rpm. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that transfers power to all four wheels. Land Rover claims that the Range Rover Sport SV Edition 1 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 3.8 seconds and can hit a top speed of 290 kmph.

The Sport SV Edition 1 version gets subtle little tweaks when compared to the standard Range Rover Sport. The front bumpers have been tweaked to increase the airflow for the engine. Because the SV version Edition 1 is more powerful, it needs wider tyres in the front and the rear. The front grill and the side skirts are new. At the rear, there are twin exhausts that make it easier to distinguish the Sport SV Edition 1 from the standard Range Rover Sport.

There are a few changes to the interior as well. The SV Edition 1 gets different seats that have integrated headrests and a different steering wheel with an SV button that acts as a shortcut for the driving mode. There are integrated headrests for the rear occupants also. Apart from this, there are no cosmetic changes between the Range Rover Sport SV Edition 1 and its other models.

Then there is the Range Rover Sport PHEV. It uses a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder engine that uses a 38.2 kWh battery pack. Total power output stands at 453 bhp and peak torque output is 660 Nm. It has a top speed of 225 kmph and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5.5 seconds. The battery pack can be charged using a 7 kW AC charger that takes five hours to fully charge the battery. The PHEV version has an electric-only range of 123 km on the WLTP cycle. It is important to note that the PHEV version is only available on the fully loaded Autobiography variant.
